What we collect
Your photos and projects. Photos you upload are processed in your browser and stored on
your own device. When you place a printed order, the finished pattern files travel with the order so we can
print them — we do not receive your photo library, only the artwork you order.
Order details. Email address, phone number, and delivery address, used to fulfil and
deliver your order and to send order updates.
Account details. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and
profile photo from Google. Guest use needs no account at all.
Usage signals. Anonymous product events (like "a project was exported") that help us
improve the studio. These are not sold or shared with advertisers.
How we use it
We use personal information only to run PBN Studio: creating your projects, fulfilling orders, taking payment, answering support questions, and meeting our legal duties (like tax records for orders).
Payments are processed by PayFast; your card details go directly to them and never touch our servers. Orders and accounts are stored with Google Firebase. We do not sell personal information to anyone.
Where your work lives
Projects you are still shaping live in your browser's local storage on your device — clearing your browser
data removes them. Ordered artwork and order records are stored securely in the cloud so we can print and
deliver what you approved.
Your POPIA rights
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
Signed-in customers can delete their account and cloud data from the app's account area; anyone can email
hello@pbnstudio.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you
are not satisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
Keeping records
We keep order records for as long as tax law requires, then remove them. Unordered projects stay on your
device and are yours to keep or clear at any time.
